Rashid Khan’s Resistance
Delhi Capitals dominant win over Gujarat Titans in IPL2024. They won by six wickets. This was a game with low scores, but Delhi’s bowlers did a fantastic job, showcasing their skills after struggling in the last few matches. Mukesh Kumar was the best bowler for DC, taking three wickets for just 14 runs. Ishant Sharma and Tristan Stubbs took two wickets each. Gujarat Titans could only manage to score 89 runs before getting all out.
Rashid Khan was the only Gujarat player who fought back with a score of 31 runs off 24 balls. Chasing 90 runs to win, Delhi completed the task easily in just 8.5 overs. This win was Delhi’s third in the tournament and boosted their run rate.
Rishabh Pant, Delhi’s captain, showed excellent leadership skills. He was sharp and quick behind the stumps, taking a quick stumping and an incredible diving catch. Pant’s performance is a good sign for Indian cricket, especially with the T20 World Cup approaching.Pant was also batting when Delhi hit the winning runs.

Gujarat Titans started batting first. Their captain, Shubman Gill, scored 8 runs off an overpitched delivery from Khaleel Ahmed. But Gill got out soon after, caught by Prithvi Shaw off Ishant Sharma’s bowling. Sai Sudharsan scored 12 runs before getting run out by Sumit Kumar’s brilliant fielding.
Delhi’s skipper, Pant, took a stunning catch off Ishant’s bowling to dismiss David Miller for just 2 runs. Then, Pant made two quick stumpings off Tristan Stubbs’ bowling, sending back Abhinav Manohar and Shahrukh Khan.
Axar Patel trapped Rahul Tewatia leg-before-wicket, and despite a review, Tewatia had to go back to the pavilion. Gujarat lost their seventh wicket with just 66 runs on the board. Khaleel Ahmed dismissed Mohit Sharma, and Rashid Khan hit a six off Kuldeep’s bowling. However, Mukesh Kumar ended Rashid’s resistance with a short ball outside off stump.
