Ravindra Jadeja leads CSK to victory against KKR in IPL2024. He used the sticky pitch at Chepauk well, helping Chennai Super Kings (CSK) get back to winning by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets.
On a difficult pitch in Chepauk, Ravindra Jadeja and his team, CSK, won easily against KKR in an IPL game on Monday. This win was CSK’s third in five matches, all at their home ground in Chepauk, after losing two away games. Jadeja, who hasn’t been in the spotlight for his bowling recently, took three wickets in just eight balls, making it tough for KKR who only scored 137 for 9. The pitch made it hard to hit big shots. However, CSK’s captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 67 runs from 58 balls, with good support from Daryl Mitchell and Shivam Dube. They reached their target in 17.4 overs.

Utilizing the Chepauk Pitch to CSK’s Advantage
Before this, Jadeja showed off his skills by taking out the main KKR batters. After losing two away games, CSK felt at home again on the Chepauk pitch, which helped the ball to spin. Jadeja and Maheesh Theekshana bowled very well, making it hard for KKR.
KKR’s start was shaky, losing Phil Salt early. Sunil Narine and young Angkrish Raghuvanshi added quick runs, but once the spinners started bowling, KKR struggled. Narine and Raghuvanshi lost their wickets trying to hit big shots, and Venkatesh Iyer was also uncomfortable. Jadeja then quickly took three wickets, shifting the momentum to CSK.
Shreyas Iyer and other KKR batters couldn’t increase the run rate as CSK’s bowlers, including Mustafizur Rahman and Tushar Deshpande, bowled well towards the end.When Jadeja bowled after the powerplay, it seemed like the pitch lost its pace, making it hard for KKR to score. Both he and other CSK bowlers used slow deliveries and bowled outside the hitters’ reach, while CSK’s fielders also did well, leading to a tough day for KKR’s batters.
