RCB won their second match in a row thanks to great batting from Virat Kohli and Will Jacks. Even though they’re still at the bottom of the points table, they can still make it to the playoffs if they win all their remaining matches. CSK now has 10 points from 9 matches, putting them in third place. Sunrisers Hyderabad also has 10 points from 9 matches but their Net Run Rate is lower, putting them in fourth place.
In CSK’s match, Ruturaj Gaikwad nearly scored a century, hitting 98 runs. Bowlers Tushar Deshpande and Matheesha Pathirana did great, helping CSK win by 78 runs.
In RCB’s match, Will Jacks scored a hundred and Virat Kohli played well too, leading RCB to a nine-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans. They chased down the target of 201 runs with 24 balls to spare. Jacks hit 10 sixes in his amazing performance, including four in the last over of the IPL2024 match.
